You love your pair of Glerups or any other felted wool slippers and clogs, but you don't know how to keep them fresh and clean... this post is for you.

Haflinger and Glerups uppers are made from 100% pure new wool. Wool is a natural material and the felted wool may present slight colour differences between batches and even between pairs.

  1. Wool has a natural ability to self-clean, your slippers and clogs will stay fresh if you simply air them out and allow them to rest every once in a while.
  2. To remove stains, Glerups suggest gently cleaning the stain with a damp cloth and wool soap. You may have to repeat the process a few times, but make sure that you always leave the slippers to dry before starting over again.
  3. If the felt upper seems a bit dusty, simply vacuum or blow off the dust.
  4. Soles: Rubber soles can be wiped with a wet cloth (after cleaning make sure to let them dry). Suede leather soles can be brushed and cleaned with a suede brush or sponge.
  5. Please be careful – natural rubber or leather soles may be slippery on wet and shiny surfaces such as tiles.
  6. Glerups slippers and shoes usually shed within the first 3-4 weeks of wear, giving you a long-lasting comfortable feel for years to come. This is normal due to the natural treatment of their wool. Simply remove the shedding fibres and discard as desired.
